Les Terrasses du Soleil d'Or

There were loud people drinking around the place, and our local French neighbors in the next room stole 50€. After we cleaned the apartment, they still charged us for cleaning and took the deposit for a reason we weren’t told. The customer service was terrible. I’d never come back.

The worst experience ever. We offered to pay for cleaning, but they made us clean anyway and still charged us afterward. We even found dirty women's underwear under the stairs.

This trip wasn’t like the one two years ago, which was one of my best vacations. The service was poor, and the reception was only open for a short time, sometimes not even during its posted hours. The staff weren’t very friendly, unlike what I’m used to in France. We paid 50 euros extra for a room with a good view, but it was so far from reception that it took ten minutes to reach. Getting there involved three different elevators, which was confusing, especially on the first day. The room was okay, but the light in one room didn’t work. We filled in a form listing the missing or broken things, yet we spent the whole week without that light. In the six-person apartment, one bunk-bed room had no windows and was right next to the toilet and bathroom, so people going to the bathroom would wake others. The website hadn’t made these details clear, and we’d expected something different. I don’t know whether Pasp'orres is connected to the hotel, but we paid 50 euros for the cards and only learned there that one activity was unavailable for maintenance. That wasn’t clear when we bought them. This stay didn’t measure up to the first one. We’ll try another hotel next time.

For the price, it was a nice, compact apartment with what we needed, though it wasn’t luxurious. We were there for a ski trip, and the ski-in, ski-out access was great even late in the season. We could ski straight from the ski locker rooms.
