The summer evening views toward the Swiss border were wonderful, with cowbells and swifts circling around. I was here on a bike tour, so I can't say anything about the golf. The staff were obliging and even gave me a free ride into Les Rousses, since the restaurant closes in the evening and the hotel is a little way out of town.

Great value for the price, with a lovely setting and some interesting holes. The opening two are easy and short, then it gets more challenging. The course isn't especially manicured, so the greens are slow, and the bunkers could use some work.

We stayed just outside the village, so you'll need a car or a walk to get into Les Rousses. Still, it's a great place even if you don't golf. Our room was huge, with two balconies overlooking the course and the hills. The beds were firm and comfortable, and although the bathroom was small, the shower was great. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh, with facilities to cook eggs yourself just how runny you like them. The bar served lunch and stayed open until about 7 pm, but there was no dinner.

I stayed at Golf du Mont Saint Jean on a business trip and really liked the atmosphere. Everyone was kind, especially the restaurant staff. My only suggestion would be to improve the soundproofing in the rooms. I had a great stay.
