Résidence Les Clarines

We could watch lovely herds of cows from our windows, and the scenery was just beautiful. The residence itself was so peaceful, and the heated outdoor pool was a big hit with my children. My family and I had a really pleasant stay. Mme Cathy, the director, welcomed us so warmly and did a lot to make us feel comfortable. She also gave us great advice for exploring this beautiful region. We hope to come back very soon!

The view of La Dôle from the pool, which is set up like a solarium, is breathtaking. I’ve stayed here twice in winter and once in summer, and it’s earned five stars from me. The welcome at both Les Clarines and Les Rousses is warm and genuine, and the setting feels like a peaceful retreat, away from the road and near the forest. Cathy is reliable, always available, and good at shaping a stay around what you like. The apartments have sturdy furniture, modern appliances, roomy living areas and bedrooms, and free Wi-Fi. There’s also a secure garage. Small pets and holiday vouchers are accepted. There are plenty of activities in both summer and winter. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place deserved one.

The manager is friendly and pleasant, and the residence has real potential. Its location is great, with a pool facing the mountains, covered parking, and fairly spacious apartments. We came back for a second stay and chose a larger apartment for 4-5 people this time. But the decor is dated, and the bathroom hygiene was really poor, with moldy grout and a sewer smell in the shower. The carpeted flooring is small and awkward to use. The parking isn't monitored and is sometimes left ungated. The place needs renovation, and I don't think we'll return.

The friendly welcome and private garage beneath the residence were a real bonus. Our one-bedroom apartment was good value for the money and came with pool access. The balcony had a lovely view. The rooms are a bit old, though they're currently being renovated.
