Ibis Budget Les Sables d'Olonne

The reception staff were very friendly and spoke perfect English, which was a bright spot. Unfortunately, our room at the Ibis Budget in Les Sables wasn’t properly cleaned. There were stains everywhere, including marks beside the toilet that looked like fecal remains. The hygiene was unacceptable to us, so we chose not to stay. The rooms also felt more like hospital rooms than cozy hotel rooms. We told reception we wanted to cancel, but were still charged 85% of the first night. After we complained in writing, we did at least get a 50% refund for that night. Still, paying half for a room we never used, that wasn’t cleaned properly and was unusable, felt very unfriendly to customers.

We had a really good four-day stay at this Ibis Budget in Sables-d'Olonne. The room was cozy and roomy enough, and the hygiene was very satisfying. There wasn’t any dust, and the hallways felt fresh. The staff were polite, and we liked their service a lot. Breakfast was a buffet with a pretty good selection, and reception is staffed around the clock. Thanks to the team! We can’t wait to come back and visit Sables-d'Olonne again :)

The rooms are fairly priced for what you get, and the staff are super friendly.

Check-in was a bit slow, but the hotel was very clean. You’ll need a car on the weekend since there’s no public transportation.
