We nearly missed out, but a cancellation opened up a room for two nights during Ironman weekend. The central location made it easy to go back and forth while my partner competed and I ran around supporting him. Everyone was friendly, and the hosts were warm, helpful, and very accommodating. We’ll book again next year.

I felt safe returning to the hotel late at night.

For a solo trip, the single room and its private bathroom worked well. It wasn’t fancy, but the bed was comfortable, there was a TV, and the bathroom was spotless. The owner was welcoming and accommodating, too. The little hotel is in a great spot, about a three-minute walk from the beach and restaurants. I’d happily come back :)

We had a really unpleasant family stay. The rooms were unsanitary, the place was partly moldy, and the breakfast was unsuitable, with moldy fruit and other issues. Reception was only open from 3 pm to 10 pm, and the staff were unpleasant to guests.

We got a lovely surprise when we were moved to a bigger room, with a comfortable, well-equipped sitting area. Maison Richet is quiet and ideally placed in Les Sables-d'Olonne, which made for a relaxing stay. The welcome was especially warm and attentive. We’d definitely recommend it.
