The €60 charge felt unfair. We were charged because we left the rubbish and forgot to wash one pan, but the rules were tucked behind a QR code I had to scan. They should explain them much more clearly.

We found the apartment functional and quite nice, and the living-room bed had a comfortable mattress, which is unusual. The weekday receptionist was so friendly and welcoming, and we appreciated the small gift for our dog. The location is hard to beat, a few steps from the beach and the shops on the pedestrian street. Parking is available for an added fee during the stay, and with outside parking costing so much, it felt like a secure and good-value choice. You can hear plenty in the hallways, and the apartment walls are thin, so soundproofing could be better. Still, it was quiet at night while we were there, though it was off-season.

You can get around on foot from this ideally placed residence, and the welcome was simple and very pleasant. The paid underground and outdoor parking are both secure, which is handy since finding a spot locally is a real headache. The street itself isn't too busy. The accommodation was fine for a few nights, but it's due for a proper update. We're looking forward to the renovations being finished and would be very happy to come back.
