Hotel Restaurant De La Roche

The room was quite okay for a one-night stop between crossings, but the service was so poor I’d give it zero stars. When we arrived, we had to get the owner’s attention. She showed us the room and gave us no information. After reading the reviews, we’d been expecting a long day of food, so we thought she might just be stressed from work. But when we went to the restaurant and asked for the menu, she looked at us and asked what we wanted. We left our food by the roadside and ate the supplies we’d brought in our room instead. I don’t know if it was because we were foreigners. The place was enough for a night, but it lacked service and basic necessities. I don’t understand the high rating.

We had our club’s Christmas dinner here. The portions were very generous, the food was very good, and the value for money was good too. No complaints.

We arrived unexpectedly, but they were able to serve us, and as usual everything was absolutely delicious. Thanks to Sonia and Victor for the warm welcome. It was a real pleasure to see them again after a difficult time. Thank you.

The frog legs were dry, overcooked and tasteless. Dessert was no better: there was no choice, just a standard plate. When we asked for two scoops of ice cream, they said the kitchen was closing. Maybe so, but they should still have served our dessert. Even though we had a reservation, the welcome felt like being at a bowling alley 🫣. Sorry, madam, but even when you’re busy, there’s a minimum standard. I don’t recommend this place.
