La Rose des Vents

The setting is magnificent, with wide open countryside and nature all around, right on the border of Haute Ardèche and Haute Loire. There's lots to explore nearby, including the marsh circuit from the house, Lac Bleu, the Meygal, and the sucs around Querieres. Le Chambon, Tence, and Fay-sur-Lignon are only a few minutes away by car, and nothing feels far from here. Corinne takes such good care of everything and gives you a really warm welcome. The meals and breakfasts are delicious and well prepared, with plenty to talk about over the table, from local walks and wildlife to astronomy and the region itself. I highly recommend staying here.

Dinner and breakfast were generous, mostly made with homemade ingredients, and Corinne is a wonderful cook. We had a lovely chat around the table even though our French is a bit rusty. We stayed for one night during a cycling tour, and found the place very cozy, with Corinne being an incredibly kind and welcoming host. Highly recommended.

Dinner was a real treat, and the owner was attentive and helpful. The place is a calm little retreat surrounded by lush greenery, with a beautiful view of Mont Mézenc. I highly recommend it.

After a tiring hike, arriving at Corinne's was such a pleasure. She gave our group and our donkeys a lovely welcome. The rooms are lovely, and the place is relaxing; the table d'hôte was delicious, with every detail taken care of. We really enjoyed our time together and highly recommend it.
