We were a group of climbers here in September, and the house had plenty of room for all of us. Everyone liked the comfy beds, and there were loads of bathrooms and a superbly equipped kitchen. From the lovely deck, we got to watch the moon rise over the ridge one beautiful evening. Ailefroide is a short drive away for climbing, there’s a via ferrata just above the house, and hiking trails start right from the village. Wow! P.S. For the best experience, book directly with the owners.

The beds were super comfy and everything was really clean. There are great running trails, famous hills for riding up, and lovely views of the Alps. I’ll be back.

I spent the first week of January at Gite Les Carlines with eight other people. We picked it because it’s close to the Nordic ski area. The couple managing the hostel were wonderful, so kind to everyone. Sandrine was always trying to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Breakfast was really good and plentiful, and the dinners were great too. Gary is an amazing chef. Thanks, Sandrine and Gary, for your hospitality.

The bedrooms upstairs were cozy, with very comfortable beds and top-quality linens that felt incredibly soft. The bathrooms and the rest of the chalet were spotless. It’s a cozy little mountain haven, great for a weekend with friends or a longer stay, with excellent amenities, a well-equipped chalet and professional kitchen. The living room feels warm and inviting, with a fireplace and stunning mountain views. Thanks for a wonderful weekend! P.S. The colorful Crocs at the entrance are a fun welcome. Take off your shoes, don’t litter, and enjoy!

The hosts were so kind and welcoming, and the cottage was very clean and well appointed. The living room feels wonderfully open, with a breathtaking bay window looking out over the mountains. It’s a peaceful spot, well placed for ski resorts and hiking. I’ll be back very soon.
