L'Eau Vive

The view was fantastic and the setting was quiet. The room could use a kettle for hot drinks and a microwave, though.

The peaceful, idyllic setting and warm welcome made for a good stay, and most of the staff were attentive and professional. The bedding was decent too, even though the place is showing its age. We brought 75 loved ones to L'Eau Vive for our anniversary weekend, and after many years of being happy with Ternélia centers, we chose this one for the occasion. Thanks for organizing it and welcoming us. The Sunday brunch was the big disappointment. At €25 per person, we expected better quality than powdered scrambled eggs, low-end cold cuts and cheeses, processed salads, cheap pastries and mediocre pizzas. Those choices didn't match the standard we've come to expect from Ternélia centers. We understand unexpected things can happen, like the chef being absent, but that shouldn't affect the service. A price adjustment or clear notice beforehand would have been appreciated. We were also perplexed by the response to our feedback. We hoped for more empathy and an effort to understand what we expected, instead of hearing about the extra services provided, such as lending tableware for our evening and letting us check out an hour later. Even so, we were generally satisfied because of the setting and welcome. I hope these comments help improve the services.

We got a perfect welcome, and the room was clean, but it was noisy. I'm giving it 3 stars because there was absolutely no water pressure, so we couldn't shower. Such a shame.

The staff were sublime, and the food and drinks were delicious. The atmosphere was incredibly cozy, with a terrace and meadow by the lake, lovely walking routes straight from the hotel, a beautiful stream nearby, and plenty of water activities. One catch: swimming in the lake isn't technically allowed except near the pricey play island, though some small children seemed to ignore the rule without consequences. There are other places to swim nearby too. We stayed one night in a charming hotel and had a budget room with a lake view, a nice terrace, and comfortable beds. The website had warned that the room was somewhat dated, and it was, but I didn't mind since we knew in advance. The price-quality ratio was still very pleasant. Truly a fantastic place.
