We’d booked the last room on the spur of the moment, right in the middle of a heat wave, and had such a lovely, charming stay. Marina made us feel so welcome and gave us a memorable experience. We’d happily come back anytime. The restaurant was delicious, set beneath a natural portico formed by three intertwined trees. We also enjoyed walking around the hotel and Lesperon for a few hours, including through a bamboo forest and beside a tiny river where we could wade.

Dinner was excellent each evening, and breakfast was top notch too. The rooms are simply furnished, with plenty of traditional charm. It’s a traditional hotel, and the couple who run it are fantastic hosts, really just perfect.

We had our dog with us and enjoyed the riverside or forest walks nearby. The hotel is easy to reach from the motorway, has ample parking, and sits in the centre of a small town. The staff were so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We also had a lovely evening meal and an early breakfast. It’s a great hotel, and we’ll be back next year.

The village was charming, though very quiet, and this made a great one or two night stop on our family trip with the dog from Spain to England. Dinner was absolutely incredible; breakfast tasted good but had a limited choice. The hotel has a very rustic feel. One of the double rooms felt a bit cramped, which is why I’ve taken off a star, while the other double room was a little larger.

The food at the restaurant was superb, and the welcome was warm and friendly. In a quaint little village, this hotel dates back to 1864 and still has lots of charm and quirks, with an eclectic mix of bric-a-brac. It was great value, and we’ll definitely visit again when we’re passing through.
