Chez Catharina

We had dinner there too, and the Savoyard fondue was excellent. The only little drawback was the dinner price, since dessert would have been a nice addition at that cost. The room was perfect, the setting lovely, and the car-themed decor was original. Catharina welcomed us warmly, and breakfast was very good and plentiful.

The countryside around the building is quiet and remote, and the place itself has a certain charm. Catharina was friendly and very attentive, and the rooms were spacious and nicely decorated. Still, the room walls don't block much sound, so it was easy to hear conversations in neighboring rooms. I was also surprised that our room had no key to lock it, apparently because some guests had lost keys. There was no EFT for credit card payment either, though I don't know if that was temporary. Since the nearest bank is 20 km away, guests should have been told before arriving. After leaving, I had to follow up several times before I got my invoice for the business trip. I hope they find quick fixes, perhaps by making copies of the only key they still have.

I've been coming back regularly for business trips for almost a year, and I plan to keep doing that. The renovated farmhouse is beautiful, with warm, original vintage car decor, and the bedding is very comfortable. The meals, both dinner and breakfast, are excellent, and the atmosphere is friendly. The owner is lovely. I really enjoyed my stays. Thanks for everything, Catharina! 😊

Catharina runs this lovely B&B with real charm and is very accommodating. If you're looking for a nice place to stay in this area, I'd definitely recommend it.
