Château Bonalgue

The food was outstanding, and the staff were so kind during our visit. We booked the lunch package through ruedesvignerons.com, got a short introduction to the winery, then sat down for a private picnic with two glasses of wine. The red we tried ended up being our favorite in the whole region. Definitely worth checking out!

Tatiana welcomed us so warmly at the vineyard and clearly knows a lot about the estate. She explained how the vines are grown and the different grape varieties in detail. We had a lovely picnic in the garden, then carried on with our bike tour. She also mentioned the option of visiting again and staying in one of the three beautiful guest suites. I’d highly recommend Chateau Bonalgue and asking for Tatiana. I’m excited to get the wine I ordered shipped back to the U.S.

We were only four in the group, and Baptiste was an enthusiastic guide. He took us around the estate, from the vineyards to the oak barrels, before we had a nice tasting. We booked the guided tour and wine tasting in the dark through ruedesvignerons dot com. I’d definitely recommend it.

The rooms are comfortable, the place is beautiful, and breakfast was lovely. The staff made us feel very welcome and went out of their way to arrange taxis for us. They were also flexible about check-in and check-out. We had a great stay at Chateau Bonalgue and will recommend it to our friends.
