We’ve been stopping here for more than six years on long drives through France. It’s a lovely, spotless place for a quiet and safe night. There’s a great breakfast, and the hosts are wonderful. You can use the room and utensils for a picnic, or Evelyne can make an evening meal if you arrange it ahead of time.

The river views and the duck pond and pool made the stay at Clos Bernon especially enjoyable. It’s also well placed for Bordeaux, Saint Emilion and the center of Libourne. Evelyne and Brice were warm hosts and gave me useful advice about getting around locally. My room was attractive and very clean, with a modern bathroom, and breakfast came with fresh fruit, baked goods and very good coffee. I spent five nights here during a ten-day trip to France, and it was one of the highlights.

The location makes a relaxing stay easy, with Bordeaux and Saint Emilion close by. Evelyne and her husband were so welcoming, and the homemade continental breakfasts were a lovely part of the visit. It’s a beautiful place on the Dordogne, and I had a wonderful stay.

We’ve stayed here twice now and plan to come back. The pool area is a relaxing spot, with lovely views across the garden and river. Our room was tasteful, and the beds were really comfortable. Breakfast is superb, and Evelyne is a lovely host. Many thanks from Fiona & Ali
