Ibis Budget Libourne

I was hoping for a good stay at the Ibis Hotel, and it turned out even better than I expected. Every staff member was kind and helpful, and they made the visit really enjoyable. Special thanks to the young woman working the night shifts. She was caring, gentle and incredibly sweet. Thank you all!

The decor was tired and worn, and the stay felt massively underwhelming for the price. The mattress was okay, but the cushions were completely flattened. Check-in was frustrating: the receptionist left while calling over her shoulder “j'ai arrivé,” and she and the man with her were gone for more than ten minutes. When they returned, they kept talking for a few more minutes before she turned to me and said “oui?” very coldly. I said “Bonsoir” and tried to give my details, but she turned back to the man and continued their conversation. I waited again, and when she said “oui?” once more, I realized she wasn’t going to pause to serve me. We fumbled through the booking, probably because she wasn’t concentrating, not because she was incompetent. The staff came across as pretty rude. In my humble opinion, stay elsewhere.

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever seen. The room is very small, the heating barely works, and they charge for a third person but don’t provide three towels. Please don’t waste your money here. The ratings seem fake. 21/01/2024

For a motorcycle tour I picked this place because I wanted a basic room for the night, secure parking for my bike, and somewhere to eat next door. Buffalo Grill was closed, but the other boxes were ticked, and the man at the front desk was friendly. The breakfast, though, is poorer than poor. Don’t bother.
