La Maison Mulato Bordeaux, Saint-emilion

The location worked really well for exploring, while still being quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. The hosts were around to share local tips, help whenever I needed something, or just have a friendly chat. They made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived and went out of their way to make the stay comfortable and memorable. The hotel was spotless, beautifully kept, and decorated with care. My room felt cozy, with a nice balance of comfort and style. Fresh linens and thoughtful details throughout gave the place a homey feel, and it had all the amenities we could ask for. I’d definitely go back.

If you’re heading to saint emilion, this is a great place to stay instead. There are hourly trains. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the service was perfect. We tried the private spa, which was very clean, and the private dinner experience is worth opting into. They also have a cute, friendly, well-behaved dog. Bring slippers or flip flops for the spa. It’s in a separate building, and you walk through the garden to get there.

We had a lovely time at Maison Mulatô and would happily come back. After cycling around the region, it was great to return to the pool. Corinne and Laurent were wonderful hosts, and we loved Corinne’s sense of style in the decor. Breakfast was the highlight, especially Corinne’s incredible eggs. We highly recommend it.

We stayed for two days after our wedding weekend, and I’d never been to a hotel like this. Sandra, Michaël & Valentin were so caring and attentive that it felt like staying with family. One evening they cooked for us and shared their wine and a generous cheeseboard. Their daughter Manon made an incredible pistachio cheesecake. Every detail of the place was stunning, and we’re so grateful we found it. We’d recommend it to anyone and come back in a heartbeat. Thank you so much xxxxxx
