The quiet here really stood out, especially after Valérie suggested a picnic dinner by the water where we had the place to ourselves 😍. It made for a timeless stay. She greeted us with a smile and showed us to a room with silent, well-regulated air conditioning. Breakfast costs extra, but it was delicious, with organic and homemade items like the jams. A lovely stop for some peace during hikes or bike rides. PS: We’re looking forward to the sharing platters and nutria pâté 😉

Charlie, Valérie’s four-legged friend, deserves a special mention. My wife and I were really touched by how warmly and kindly Valérie welcomed us. The gîte itself is beautiful, and she was glad to suggest places to see nearby. If you’re visiting the Marais Poitevin, I’d highly recommend staying here.
