Au Chat Qui Dort Lille - Villa Gounod

The suite was adorable, comfortable, and peaceful, and we spent a week there with our own patio. Having the metro station right across the street made it easy to get into the city centre without staying right in the middle of it. I really hope I can come back one day.

The bed was really comfortable, and the price felt fair for the stay. The place was nice, though honestly it wasn't as clean as I'd expected from the photos.

We were there for a week, and a few more bin liners and toilet rolls would've been useful. The room was clean, compact, and comfortable, with tea and coffee facilities, a microwave, and an ensuite. It was on the first floor and had a spacious balcony of its own. The area is quiet and outside the centre, but very close to the metro, with one stop to Gare Lille Europe. Nearby options are a bit limited, though you can walk to a supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, bar, and a couple of restaurants.

Although there's no staff on site, that wasn't a problem because all the information was sent clearly ahead of time. The street is peaceful even though the accommodation is just off the main road, and it's an easy walk or metro ride into Lille city centre. Our room was small but good value, with a very comfortable bed and a choice of pillows. It felt modern, had lots of plug sockets, and even a tiny kitchenette. The bathroom was lovely, with a great shower and Rituals toiletries. We'd happily recommend it and will stay again when we're back in Lille.
