The room was nice, and tea and coffee were free. I hadn’t realised it was an Airbnb with no staff on site, so I was a bit confused about getting in and finding my room when I arrived. Once I’d sorted that out, everything was as I needed.

The room and bathroom were impeccably clean, with tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast was varied and very good. The French owner was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. It’s on a quiet street, about a 10-minute walk from Lille Flandres railway station. The reception and breakfast room are on the first floor, while our room was on the second. There’s no elevator, so make sure you’re mobile enough for the stairs.

The buffet breakfast had high quality produce, and the place was quiet. It’s within walking distance of Lille train station, though there’s no air conditioning. The hostess spoke limited English and we spoke limited French, but we managed to communicate and shared a few laughs. It’s a lovely place, and I’d gladly return.

Breakfast was fresh and generous each morning, and my room at the back was extremely quiet. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and very clean. A lovely chambre d'hotes (B&B). My only regret is not speaking any French, since I would have liked to enjoy longer conversations with the hosts.
