Hotel Ambassadeur

I stayed five nights for the Tour de France grand depart. The rooms have a pleasant view and are small but functional, clean, and recently renovated. There’s no AC, and the lift is very tiny. Breakfast is available, but I don’t think it’s worth 8 euros. The hotel runs mostly on automation. A nearby hotel provides assistance by phone or email when needed, and their English was decent. I wasn’t keen on the QR code entry system, though it mostly worked for me.

I really liked the automated hotel and found it good value for money. The location is great, check-in went smoothly, and the rooms were cleaned every day. The entrance and elevator area are a bit tight.

A simple hotel right downtown, close to Gare Flanders. The rooms were clean, the linens immaculate, and breakfast was convenient. We were on the fourth floor and had no trouble with street noise. Downloading the QR code for the doors took a bit of patience, and the digital setup worked best with a good internet connection.

The staff were welcoming, and I liked using QR codes to unlock the doors instead of carrying a key. The room itself wasn’t very clean, though, and the sheets were stained.
