La Cour Soubespin

I booked two nights, but after reaching the property in freezing December weather, I spent over an hour trying to get in. I called more than 15 times, rang the intercom, spoke with the neighbours, and left messages on a mobile number. Nothing worked. There’s still been no reply or apology to this day. Running a bed and breakfast is a profession. I’ve filed a complaint to get a refund, and I’m warning anyone thinking of booking. This isn’t the first time this has happened to you!

The owners were very friendly, and we felt right at home in this clean, lovely little house in the quiet heart of the old town. The bakeries nearby are good, and the "Concert" market is just a stone’s throw away. Lille itself is a beautiful city, and the place was perfect for my romantic getaway. Very professional, too. I’m giving it 4/5 because there’s always room to improve.

Restaurants and shops are nearby, yet the house was very quiet. We got such a warm welcome in the heart of Lille. The room was comfortable and tastefully decorated, and the whole little house felt cosy and welcoming. A fantastic place to stay, highly recommended.

The breakfast touches are lovely, with fresh bread and fruit juice in the morning. The bedding is super comfortable, everything’s clean, and there are no unpleasant surprises. I also like that you can have dinner there in the evening while still being close to all the nice restaurants. I come back whenever I’m in Lille. I’ve tried every room, or little house, and each one is cosy with its own decor. A sure thing.
