Premiere Classe Lille Centre

The breakfast was basic, with yoghurt, cereal, bread, and hot drinks, but it suited me and was very good value. All the staff were courteous, friendly, and helpful. Even though the hotel was fully booked over a bank holiday, it was incredibly peaceful. We were on the rear side of the fourth floor, which probably helped, and it was completely quiet all night. The clean room had a lovely comfortable bed. The small bathroom was spotless, and the shower was easy to use with plenty of hot water any time of day. The corridors do need updating, but otherwise everything was great.

Breakfast cost an extra 5 euros and made things easy, so we didn’t have to find a restaurant. There were breads and pastries, cereal, fruit, and plenty of drinks to choose from. The staff were very nice and pros at understanding my bad French. The hotel’s extremely close to EuraLille, the large shopping center, and the train station. The street felt a little scary, but inside the hotel felt safe and secure. I was pleasantly surprised by the room. It was much bigger and more comfortable than I expected, with a large, comfortable bed and an adequate bathroom. The room was very clean. I’d definitely stay here again.

It’s very close to the train station, and the heating and TV both worked. The place was clean enough. The bathroom had a toilet and sink, with only a very thin curtain separating the shower area from the rest. It’s fine for somewhere to sleep, but the shower was uncomfortable. Not much else to say. If you want somewhere comfortable, choose another hotel.

The things I liked were the location near the train station, shops, and restaurants, and the mattress was well protected. But I won’t be back. We arrived by car and there was no free parking nearby. The person at reception didn’t speak English and didn’t want to try to help. I found a multi-storey car park using Google Maps, but it cost an extra £50, making this an expensive hotel. The room smelled awful when we arrived, so we had to open the window to air it out, though the toilet was clean. There was no WiFi, toiletries, or soap. We weren’t told breakfast was included because reception didn’t speak English and just handed us a key. The TV subtitles didn’t work, the shower was inside the toilet, and you could hear the room above flush through the pipes. There were no smoke detectors or information about the city or room. The toilet didn’t flush properly either. The room below played very loud music until another guest banged their door down to get them to stop.
