The reception area is small, and the faux tree and greenery dominate it. My room was mostly clean, though the shower mat was quite dirty. I understand the hotel aims to be green and planet friendly, but some things felt too basic: the walls and ceilings were bare, and the “wardrobe” was a piece of wood attached to the ceiling with string. The food area was also small, so it was hard to reach things when several guests were there at once. There was no light in the shower, which made it dark, but the room was satisfactory overall. I’d thought this was the former Ibis hotel under a new name, which was my mistake. I wanted to stay in this area so I could go back to La Toscana restaurant nearby, where I hadn’t been for a long time. It was my wife’s favourite restaurant around here, and this was my first visit since she died. It was Valentine’s Day, and if I’d been there as a couple, I wouldn’t have found the hotel very romantic. My wife wouldn’t have liked the decor.

The rooms were clean and spacious compared with French rooms, and check-in and check-out were easy. We stayed one night at this hotel, about 10 minutes outside downtown Limoges. Nice and clean.

The rooms felt stuffy and smelled bad, and finding hair from previous guests on the bathroom floor was the last straw. Cleanliness should be a basic standard. I won't come back or recommend this place.

We loved the quirky, upcycled look and the focus on sustainability. The breakfast was great, the restaurant was good, and the staff were lovely. A fab Limoges hotel we'll definitely use again.
