La Maison du Monde

A really pleasant place for a stopover, or to spend a few days.

A very nice place, though expensive.

Rue Beaumarchais in Limoges (87) is where you’ll find La Maison du Monde, a great aparthotel in a very quiet area. It was my first stay, just one night on my own in the studio, and I wasn’t disappointed. Sylvie gave me a very warm welcome and explained everything, from cooking and making coffee or tea to using the shower. Check-in is between 6 pm and 8 pm, and check-out between 8 am and 11 am. The studio was very nice and clean. There’s Wi-Fi, and the private toilet is on the landing. I liked the decor and the entrance to the apartments, and the stay was really pleasant with no noise at all. Sylvie’s husband, who was also very nice, showed me the two-bedroom apartment next to the studio. It can sleep up to seven people and looks magnificent, with lovely decor, two beautiful bedrooms, a living room, dining room, and kitchen, ideal for a large family. Outside, there’s a pretty flower-filled garden and a nice area with a table and chairs for breakfast or other meals. Parking in front of Maison du Monde was easy. It’s very reasonably priced, and I highly recommend it, but you need to call Sylvie to book.

We had a short visit with friends, and the host was warm and pleasant. The place was spotless and welcoming, with really lovely decor. The kitchen was practical, well equipped, and laid out nicely. I’ll definitely stay with you again the next time I’m in Limoges.
