We were three, and both the spacious “parents' bed” and the child's bed were comfortable. The older hotel has big rooms that work for couples or small groups, and there’s a bar/restaurant downstairs serving meals, drinks, and breakfast. The welcome was good, and the manager seemed friendly. The decor has some sea-themed touches, but it doesn’t quite commit, so it feels mismatched. There’s an odd little shelf that was useful for my keys, bag, and all the usual stuff from my pockets. The rate was cheap, and I was perfectly satisfied for the price, though it’s clearly not a €70-a-night hotel. There’s a bath mat sized rug by the entrance, covering a damaged floor. The bathroom has a bathtub, which is great, but the paintwork is worse than I could manage, and I’m hopeless at DIY. The marble and marble-effect stickers meant to decorate it don’t work either. The bathroom paint and the noisy door handle are the main things I’d suggest fixing. That handle makes a terrible noise if you’re trying to use the toilet quietly in the middle of the night.
