The location worked well for us: we parked right outside the room, and Sieur D'Arques cave is only about 300 meters down the road. The Cremant and Blanquette are well worth tasting. This was our second stay, and the refurbished rooms are an improvement. They're small, but had what we needed for an overnight stop, with a comfortable bed, hot shower, and enough room for all our motorbike gear. Breakfast was adequate, though unavailable on Mondays. There's a McDonalds next door, if that's your thing, and a Leclerc supermarket about 200 meters away that serves breakfast from 8:30. We also enjoyed dinner at its restaurant, which is closed on Sundays.

It's a quiet place, so we slept well, and the price is very reasonable. The rooms are simple, clean, and roomy enough for two, with a little desk for working. There's also a big wooden table and benches outside each room, handy for eating a packed lunch outdoors. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful from the start. I'd recommend it, but book ahead.

The reception felt really unfriendly, like I was bothering them. The room was clean, with comfortable bedding and a bathroom that worked, but it was very small. There weren't any windows, just a glass front door facing outside and a skylight that let in a bit of daylight. It could do for one night, but I wouldn't plan a longer stay.

The room had the basics we needed: a bed, shower, toilet, TV, and desk space. We could park right outside, which made unloading our bags easy, and the hotel was quiet and well placed at the entrance to Limoux. McDonald's and Aldi are just a few meters away, which is handy. A big thank you to the lady who came 2.5 hours before the scheduled time to give us our key, since we hadn't checked the check-in hours.

The welcome wasn't friendly, and the room wasn't comfortable. The layout, bedding, and cleaning all fell short. It feels like no money is going into maintaining or renovating the place. The kettle and microwave are outside. Avoid.
