That little gift shop is worth a look, and the meal was too. We stopped for lunch on our way to Bastia and found a colorful, welcoming terrace out back. The spaghetti puttanesca was superb, and they improvised a nice vegetarian dish for my partner.

We enjoyed the garden at Chez Marie's restaurant, especially the decor and lighting, and the homemade food tasted very good. The pasta had that Italian osteria feel. But the price felt way out of line for us: a modest, simple noodle dish such as Pasta Amatriciana was 22 Euro. For comparable quality and surroundings, that is more than twice what the same dish would cost in Italy. Chez Marie also has rooms, though this review is about the restaurant.

We got there just before closing and they couldn't fit us in, but the owner was so kind and helpful that we still felt really welcome. Highly recommend!!!

Sergio and Pascal are such lovely guys, and the place feels warm and friendly. The food is delicious and good quality. That pistachio ice cream was a knockout.

We came for dinner after sunset and felt very welcome. The food was delicious, and the people were lovely. Out back there's a great outdoor dining spot, and the whole place is styled with so much attention to detail that it felt a bit like being in a French movie. Maybe they should call it ‘the fabulous world of Marie en Corse’.
