La Tour

We didn't stay overnight, but tried the Brasserade, a little barbecue at your table. You need to order it ahead, and we can definitely recommend it. The views are terrific, and the pizzas from the big oven looked very good too, though we didn't try one. We absolutely recommend this place!

We came across this place while cycling and were glad we stopped. It's peaceful, with a lovely sea view, and the staff and Chef were very pleasant. The food and drinks were tasty. Time seems to pass slowly here, with no rush. A lovely break on our trip, and we'd like to come back!

I rarely write reviews, but the service here made me feel I had to. I'm staying nearby and didn't stop at the B+B. The pizza tasted good, though the portion was small, and the lemon pie was delicious. What bothered me was being left for over an hour with an empty plate and glass on the table. I didn't call the waiter because, after about ten minutes without service, I wanted to see how attentive the check-back would be. It wasn't. When I finally got up to leave and pay, I mentioned the poor service and got no apology.

We regretted choosing this place for dinner. The salad looked appealing but was bland and seemed to use vegetables from the day before. The pizzas weren't good quality or what I'd call real pizzas, more like flammkuchen with pizza toppings and lots of greasy cheese. If you book early in the evening, expect lots of wasps, and the owners didn't seem concerned. The waiters were more focused on a football match on TV. We eventually asked to eat inside. We wouldn't come back or recommend it.
