Domaine de Litteau by OUILOK Vacances

The accommodation at Siblu domaine de litteau wasn’t clean when we arrived, and some of the promised amenities were broken or missing. A family member had emailed ahead to confirm a barbecue would be available, and was told it would be. Their accommodation had no barbecue on arrival. One was requested and supplied a day later. The park’s maintenance also seemed neglected, and staff were unhelpful and unresponsive when we raised concerns. This wasn’t the relaxing holiday we’d hoped for, and I wouldn’t recommend this park. I can’t speak for the other Siblu sites, but this one felt rough and run down. The snack bars and shops seemed to open and close whenever they wanted. The entertainment was unbelievably poor, with performers who looked like they’d been brought in from the street and put on stage. The toilet by the bar was always filthy and blocked with unpleasant sewage. It’s concerning to be asked for a £250 deposit against items supposedly in the accommodation when some, like the barbecue, aren’t there. How can you prove they were missing when you arrived? You have to be very careful, or you could be charged for listed items that weren’t there. I wouldn’t recommend this site to anyone.

We had one of the best-equipped caravans we’ve stayed in in France. Our three-bedroom, two-bathroom place was roomy and comfortable, with a partly covered terrace that was great for eating outside. The site was clean and well located. We liked the little farm, though we were a bit too close to it: the cockerel started at 5:30 am. The main path to the pools and entertainment ran past our caravan, and people were still going by in the early hours. We’d paid extra for a TV and had been told the caravan was in a central but quiet area. It was also close to the entertainment, which was very loud every night and went on late. That would have been fine if we’d wanted to attend, but we didn’t. I couldn’t pay my deposit in advance because the link on the Siblu site wouldn’t work, so check-in took longer and was more complicated than it needed to be. All in all, a nice site.

There’s plenty to do at this fun campground, with a pool, volleyball, fishing ponds, and animals. It’s also a short drive from pretty much all the historic sites in Normandy.

We’ve been here three times and will definitely return. The staff are so helpful, and the mobile home was very well equipped. I hadn’t ordered enough bedding, but reception sorted it out in seconds. Even the evening entertainment was enjoyable, considering you’re in France. Couldn’t fault anything.
