Garenne

The food and the staff made this a great find. Adrien and Tiemo (probably not spelt right) were superb in the restaurant and shared lots of interesting information about what we were eating. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating, and travelling with our dogs was no trouble at all. We also loved the winery, restaurant, and lovely rooms. It far exceeded our expectations, and is well worth another visit. It's an easy stop off the A7 on the way to the south of France and back.

We still remember our spontaneous summer stay at Garenne so fondly. The room was incredibly cozy, and the indoor and outdoor spaces were beautiful. We planned on three courses, but the snacks and pre-dinner drink made with local ingredients convinced us to go for six courses with wine pairing. The food exceeded anything we expected, with remarkable flavors in every bite, and the service was top-tier. You could see how much care and pride the kitchen and service staff put into everything. Breakfast outside was a perfect start to the day, and the woman serving us was so friendly and made it feel personal. And sweet dog Uno, who lives there, deserves a mention too. A huge thank you to everyone!

Being Italian, I don't always find good pizza abroad, but this was probably one of the best I've ever had. We liked the place so much that we came back a second time. It's pet friendly and genuinely good for families too.

The flavors in the food were combinations I'd never have thought to put together, yet they worked amazingly well. The staff were very professional, and the location is gorgeous, tucked away in the middle of nowhere. It must be especially lovely in summer with the windows open or out on the terrace. The interior felt a little stark and could use some warmth, but it's a lovely place overall.
