The rooms were so spacious that we felt a real sense of calm and freedom, which is unusual for a place like this. L'Obsidienne has a bright, elegant look, with tasteful Belle Époque touches and modern comforts throughout. The hosts welcomed us with remarkable warmth, and you can tell how much care they put into giving guests a special stay. We left thrilled and already wanting to come back soon. It would suit a romantic break or a relaxing family holiday.

We had a bit of trouble finding L'Obsedienne, since it’s tucked into Lixheim and there’s no sign for it. Once there, though, we were greeted warmly by the owner’s parents, and they didn’t charge extra for our dogs. The old house is stately and spotless, with a charming interior and comfortable beds. There was coffee, tea, and chocolate in the room, and a full breakfast is available as an option. Highly recommended.

The only trouble was having to leave. We felt so good there, surrounded by all that tasteful decor, and had such lovely encounters and moments together. And the gentlemen’s cooking was fabulous ☺️. Nothing to complain about, just the best.

We enjoyed breakfast so much that we ended up skipping lunch. The food was hearty, and the products were so high-quality they tasted divine. Add the warm welcome and unique setting, and we’ll definitely be back.
