I’d stayed here before. The hotel isn’t great, but it’s convenient. This time, I hadn’t realized my booking was for the Motel rather than the Hotel. At check-in, I was told my room was next to the main building. It looked grim outside, and worse inside, and it was for smoking too. I went back to reception and asked to move to the main building, and they happily switched me. At checkout my bill was over 20 euros higher. They said I’d booked a motel room instead of a hotel room, and told me to check the small print. I stood my ground and paid the original price. The staff weren’t helpful or pleasant. I don’t think I’ll be back.

We had a nice welcome and a lovely view over Loches. The restaurant food was great, and breakfast was a buffet. The room was simple but clean. The sauna was nice, though small, and the pool was a bit small too.

The rooms are basic but nicely presented, and the views are great. Breakfast was a lovely buffet as well.

From the hotel you can take in a panoramic view of the city and the castle. The staff are hospitable, and there are lovely flowers outside.

Cockroaches were coming up through the drains, and the place was dirty. I hate writing a bad review, but I really can’t recommend it. Avoid it at all costs.
