The food was even better than the friendly service, and everything we ordered tasted great. The restaurant has a calming atmosphere and makes an interesting first impression. I’m glad I didn’t check Google’s rating first and head somewhere with a higher score. This place definitely deserves a five.

The main course was lovely, and the seafood starter was very tasty, though it seemed a little short on seafood. I went for lunch with work colleagues and got a frosty welcome from the woman at reception. I got the impression working-class people like us weren’t regular customers. For a warmer reception, maybe dress a bit better than we did. I’d still recommend the food, just remember to dress up.

The food was fine, if nothing special, and the service pace didn’t bother us even though we’d been warned they were understaffed. We got a cute table, and our dog was welcome. Later, when we ordered dessert, I asked another staff member for the drinks menu because we didn’t want coffee and might have liked a glass of wine. He made a face, angrily tossed the menu onto the table, then never came back to see if we wanted anything. Instead, he started clearing and packing up the other tables, occasionally giving us unfriendly looks. We paid and left. I don’t mind that we didn’t get another glass of wine. It was his attitude that bothered me. If he’d simply said they were closing and service was over, that would have been completely fine, and I wouldn’t have left this feedback. Please talk to your employees about basic manners. It can really ruin guests’ mood and impression of the place. Such a pity.

A great experience all round, with a good atmosphere and really friendly staff. The beer was excellent, brewed at the brewery behind the bar and restaurant.
