Château de Lauresse

We almost had the restored castle to ourselves since it had only just opened. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the hosts are lovely, and we enjoyed the food and the pool.

We were made to feel welcome from the start. The staff were lovely and helpful, and they made our stay a joy. It’s a beautiful, characterful place for a quiet stay, and I’d highly recommend it.

The homemade organic meals were delicious, and the vegetable garden, orchard, and poolside area all add to the feeling of being in another world. It’s an authentic, luxurious haven where you get to experience life like the lord of the manor. There are activities for adults and children, plus forest walks over 20 kilometers long, on foot or horseback. Tranquility and pure pleasure ♥️

The owner was easy to reach and very helpful, and the dinner was both delicious and generous. We had a really pleasant long weekend at this château, surrounded by a large garden and forest. In the evenings, we spent time chatting and playing games over a glass of wine in the main room, with its huge fireplace, comfy sofas and armchairs, and several tables and chairs. One evening we also used the sauna, in a separate building just a short walk across the garden. I can definitely recommend coming here for a relaxing break in beautiful surroundings.
