Camping Club Les Brunelles 5*

We really enjoyed the holiday and would book with MS Vacance again, though next time we might choose a site within walking distance of restaurants and shops. This one is lovely, with a beach and mini funfair close enough to walk to, but towns and restaurants aren’t nearby on foot. The grounds are beautiful and there’s plenty to do. The water park was excellent, and the pools were warm, although there’s little shade around them, so people were using the slides for cover. Staff were very friendly, especially at the shop, pools and ice cream shop. Our Bergame Confort was in a great spot and worked for our family of four, though it was a little basic. We rented a gas barbecue, and were glad to have air conditioning during the heatwave. The entertainment is only in French, which was a shame since most guests in June and July were Irish families. The snack bar food was nice and reasonably priced. We liked the restaurant’s daily specials, but wished its menu had more variety.

We expected a lot and somehow the campsite was even better. It was extremely clean and well cared for, with great pools, helpful and friendly staff, and excellent food and service at the restaurant. The hard part is that every holiday has to end. We’re already looking forward to coming back.

It’s only our first day and already we’ve decided we wouldn’t come back. We paid nearly €3000 and expected a much better welcome and some sheets. My sister is staying at the park too, but on a different package, so she didn’t have sheets. When we asked about it, staff were unhelpful and said we should have bought the premium package. There wasn’t even an apology for the filthy caravan we walked into. It had supposedly been checked, but it was so dirty I told the children not to go in barefoot. The water park is very impressive, to be fair, but the chalets are nowhere near as good as others I’ve stayed in for half the price, and the staff seemed uncaring. Next year we’ll save our money and go back to a park where we’ve had a much better first impression for half the price.

Really looking forward to coming back next year. The accommodation was clean and lovely, and the staff were very friendly. There’s a water park, grocery store and restaurant on site, plus great entertainment every night, including a brilliant foam party. It’s an amazing campsite with fantastic facilities, and I’d highly recommend staying here.
