The room was tiny, but I slept really well: it was quiet and the bed was comfortable. The shower and Wi-Fi were good too. There’s no lift, so you’ll need to carry your bags upstairs. Breakfast has a limited selection, though there was plenty for me, and you can get drinks downstairs at reception or the bar. Lots of car chargers in the parking lot.

There’s plenty of parking, but getting our luggage up the stairs was a pain since there’s no lift. The room was very small, and the cot took up even more of the space. The ensuite was so cramped that only one person could use it at a time. The cistern was faulty, and the floating shelf was hanging loose from the wall.

The location is convenient for the main road, with Tesla Superchargers nearby, but I barely slept. The air conditioner made a noise like a truck running in the room, and switching it off only left me sweating. Every so often, another vibrating sound would start up. They couldn’t offer a solution because there wasn’t another room the same size. There was no Wi-Fi either. The restaurant only serves breakfast, with no lunch or dinner. For €100+, you might as well sleep in your car and stay awake from the noise.

We were impressed with Greet Hotel Dijon as a stop on our drive from the south of France to Nottingham with our campervan and two dogs. We’d booked two overnight stays to break up the trip, one here and the next night in Calais. The two budget hotels cost about the same, but the welcome and general standards were worlds apart. This one was easy enough to find, with plenty of parking among a cluster of hotels in an industrial area outside town. The staff greeted us warmly, and the man who checked us in spoke excellent English. Our room was small but clean, nicely decorated, and air-conditioned, which we really appreciated in the warm weather. The bed was comfortable, and the shower and toilet area were good. We could have eaten inside with the dogs, but the weather was lovely, so we sat outside with them instead. Breakfast was fine, with cold meats, eggs, juices, and surprisingly good machine coffee. The staff member we saw when leaving was friendly and courteous too. It’s a no-frills place, as you’d expect for the price, but what it offers is good quality and the atmosphere was welcoming. We were both very pleased with our stay, and it’s a great choice for a night or two in the area.
