Le Moulin d'Harcy

We’d happily come back. The room was immaculate and our stay was perfect, with a very welcoming host. When we realised we’d left our baby’s blanket behind, Michael kindly agreed to mail it back to us in the Netherlands. Such wonderful service.

The grounds are lovely, with three ponds, and the nearby Lac de Vielles Forges is picturesque, with walks, water activities, countryside, and a beach for swimming. We had a wonderful long weekend at this beautiful B&B in a converted watermill. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, and the shared space had a sofa, dining table, and kitchenette with a fridge, tea and coffee facilities, and a microwave, but no hob or oven. Our family room had a large main room, a bathroom, and a side room with bunk beds for the kids. The decor and fixtures were to a very high standard, and guests can use the jacuzzi. Breakfast was great, with pastries, French bread, and treats from the local bakery. One small snag: Google wasn’t very accurate about nearby eateries’ opening times, so it’s worth checking with the hosts. Charleville-Mézières is about a 20-minute drive away and has various restaurants, including some around an old French square. Highly recommended.

The room was spacious, comfortable, well equipped, and had excellent bedding. Everything was in place for a relaxing stay, with impeccable cleanliness and a warm, friendly welcome. Love at first sight! No complaints. Go there with your eyes closed.

We had a fantastic night in the fisherman's cabin, with very comfortable beds, insulating wood, and a spotless interior. There’s a terrace right in front of the cabin. Breakfast was generous, the apple juice was excellent, and we loved all the delicious food. The owner gave us a perfect welcome and was pleasant and sociable. We also toured the interior rooms, which were clean and lovely. We’re more than satisfied and will definitely be back. Thank you to Les Étangs du Moulin d'Harcy. See you soon!
