Brit Hotel Confort Pau Lons

The bar shut at 9 PM, which was a bit disappointing after a long day. Apart from that, I had a pleasant stay at the Brit Hotel. The rooms were tidy and the hotel was very clean, and the spacious bathroom was a plus. The bed was especially comfortable, and I slept well. Parking was plentiful, breakfast was nicely prepared and presented, with enough variety to start the day. Good value for the comfort and cleanliness. I’d consider coming back.

The receptionist was friendly and helpful, and the bedding was clean. Those were about the only bright spots. The car park was a mess, while the room and en suite were spacious but old and worn. The toilet seat was broken, the floor was grubby, and of the two shower gel sachets, one had already been opened. There was only one large towel and one small one for the two of us. They charged €5 for our dog, compared with the usual €3. I’ve stayed in many budget hotels, and this was the worst and most expensive. Very disappointing.

A great base for the two golf courses, just outside Pau. The room was bright, clean, and quiet, and the staff were really helpful. There’s also a large commercial centre less than 1km away.

The room was clean, though small, and the bathroom washbasin was minuscule. There’s no elevator, which wasn’t mentioned anywhere. My room was on the third floor, so be ready to carry your bags up the stairs. Avoid this place if you have a disability or use a wheelchair.
