A lovely-looking, peaceful place with a cool sea breeze nearby. There are lots of things to do inside, like ping pong and table soccer, plus big shared areas for studying or relaxing. A perfect spot.

The area was beautiful, but the rooms were small, the beds uncomfortable, and the hotel far from the centre. Worse, I got bitten by bedbugs. When I told reception, all I got was “fresh” linen with little red stains on it, so it seemed the stains were already there before the latest wash. Maybe there was a language barrier, but the room felt unhygienic, with ants and dirty corners. I didn’t enjoy my stay.

Fred and Isabelle were so welcoming and helpful. They shared great places to eat and drink, beach spots, museums, and other fun places in and around Lorient. The hotel is outside the center, by a calm lake, with soothing views and terraces. They handled the pandemic really well too, giving us breakfast bags for the journey and access to the kitchen if we needed it. Thanks for a great trip!

There’s a lovely lake beside the place, with a path all the way around it. The auberge itself feels a bit forgotten and unused, and I’ve stayed in nicer ones elsewhere in Brittany.
