La Presqu'île du Lenn

We had the upstairs apartment for two nights and were surprised by how roomy it was. There were two bedrooms and a large terrace, and the place was comfortable and well-equipped. Cleanliness could be better, as some other comments have mentioned.

The owner gave us a warm welcome and was friendly. It’s a charming spot with sea views, and some studios have private terraces. Cleanliness may be an issue, though. Not all the studios are spotless, so it may not suit you if that matters a lot.

Fellow hikers, if you’ve got any energy left, keep going and find somewhere else. This place was filthy and run-down, with no cleaning done before we arrived. We’re usually not fussy when hiking the GR34, but this was beyond the pale. How can anyone rent out a property in this state? Horrible!

The welcome was friendly, and the Iroise studio was spacious enough for my husband and me, with a superb view. But for €394.00, or €49.25 a night for 8 nights, I found it excessive given the state of the place. We stayed from December 22nd to 30th. We had to wash the dishes before using them and sweep the floor. There was no smoke detector, the sink was cracked with broken trim and no drain plug, so we had to leave the water running while washing. The ventilation system looked concerning, and for coming back late there was no motion detector to light the way, so bring a flashlight. The road is very busy. In winter I rarely opened the windows, and the studio felt quite isolated, but I doubt it would be the same in summer. In my opinion, it needs cleaning, painting and renovations to meet current standards before being rented out. I’d advise against staying. I expect the owner will deny that I came with my husband or claim I left it dirtier than I found it, but the reviews show this is how he casts doubt.
