Les Nids du Bearn

Sleeping in that huge bed inside a suspended nest made a childhood dream come true. Such an original place, and the meal among the trees was unforgettable. The owner was really friendly and full of good advice.

The peaceful forest setting, with birds all around, was wonderful. Les Nids du Béarn is a really special place, with comfortable nests perched high in the trees, and they were very, very clean. The owner's welcome and kindness get a 10/10 from me. I recommend the experience 100%!

Spending the night in a nest was a fantastic experience. We got a very generous aperitif and a delicious breakfast, both plentiful and nicely presented. The service was excellent and the welcome wonderful. Navarrenx is a pretty little village about 15 minutes away by car, and there are lovely hikes nearby, including in the Aspe Valley, which is an hour's drive. Thanks to the owners of Les Nids du Béarn. P.S. Please don't steal their toilet paper or headlamps! 😂

We arrived at 5:30 pm for a night here, a gift from friends, and had a lovely, simple time. While we waited for our tasting basket and breakfast, we spent about an hour and a half unwinding and having fun with the free activities, including suction-cup archery, pétanque, a balance beam, shuffleboard, molkky, and a little maze in the woods. Our suspended nest had a small private terrace below, perfect for eating or having a drink in the calm atmosphere. There were dry toilets nearby, with regular showers and toilets at reception. The receptionist was new to the job but very kind, helpful, and attentive. The only small drawback was the dip in the middle of the bed. In the morning I tried to ease myself out of the cocoon, but since everything was suspended, I sent my wife flying 😅. Otherwise, a great chance to unwind.
