The October visit felt like much better value, and the room was a lot nicer. I came back in December, but it just wasn’t the same. Honestly, I couldn’t bring myself to use the pool because it was so exposed to the rest of the hotel. I didn’t get to make the most of my first stay, either.

The setting was truly beautiful, with the nearby river and amazing views, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms felt small for what they cost. I was also disappointed with my facial: it wasn’t cheap, but the trainee who did it didn’t really deliver. We paid a lot for the treatments and ended up with inexperienced people doing the work.

With check-in at 16:00 and check-out at 11:00, there’s roughly 1-2 fewer hours in the room than at a regular hotel. Check-in is a bit later than the usual 14:00-15:00 window for a four-star hotel in Europe, and 11:00 is on the early side for check-out. That can make a vacation feel rushed and uncomfortable, especially with children.

The breakfast was superb, and our room was spacious. Everything was clean and organised, and we absolutely loved staying in Loudenvielle. It was our first time here, and we’ll be back. Thank you!

We had a beautiful view over the park and mountains, and the room and services were great. Breakfast had lots of choice, too. The check-in could have been more attentive, though. We were left standing at the desk for a few minutes before anyone helped us.
