The staff were welcoming and really helpful with what we needed. Our room was warm and cozy, with a TV, small desk and wardrobe, and the toilets were very clean. Cleaners were friendly too. The location made getting around easy: the train station, grotto and Da Marco are all about a five-minute walk away. Book Da Marco ahead. Carrefour is across the road, with a few bars farther up in the city centre. Prices were excellent as well. Contact the hotel directly and you’ll pay less than on Booking.com.

They kept my bag for a couple of days while I was hiking, and then for the whole day after my reservation too. Breakfast was really nice, served bar-style, with fresh pastries and baguettes, cheese and ham. A great place.

Stayed here for one night both before and after our hike. Cheap, good and an easy place to stop if you're passing through. I’d recommend it.

The location was great, about a 10-minute walk to the Sanctuary gate, and Carrefour is nearby. For what we paid, the room was good and everything worked, including the Wi-Fi, shower and toilet. We brought in food from outside and were allowed to use the dining room and borrow cutlery. We couldn’t find an airport shuttle on Sunday, but the owner told us exactly when it ran and even offered to take us to the bus stop for free. I’d also left my watch in the bar when we arrived. He calmed me down, humming while we were stuck in traffic, and said we had time and he’d drop me at the second bus stop. He wouldn’t take any extra money. Thank you so much, and may you have lots of grace throughout your life.

Stopping in the city on our way up to Paris turned out to be the best decision we could have made. The person at reception was so friendly and nice, and the rooms were clean and neat. The people in the neighboring room were unpleasantly loud all night and into the morning, which was a letdown. Still, everything else was perfect.
