The hosts, a man and his wife, are really friendly and will try to help with whatever you need. They even do it voluntarily, which made me appreciate them more. In high season it's a sociable place, and the beach is only two minutes away, where you can have a beer with people you've just met. Just remember this is a youth hostel, about 30 minutes from Bastia, rather than a 5-star hotel. There is a store within walking distance, though it's not very close, so bring some food and drinks. Often someone is happy to drive you where you need to go. For the price, the quality is top of its league in Corsica.

I was looking for somewhere simple, relaxing, not crowded or expensive, and close to a beach, ideally with a chance to cook my own food. Clematisso was just that. The owner jean-louis and his wife are approachable, pleasant, and informative, and you feel like friends with them very quickly. It's a great hidden hostel, and even though the airport is nearby, there's no annoying noise.

The hosts were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help, and I got to spend some lovely time with them. I stayed for a week and was delighted with the experience. The beach is just a five-minute walk away, and it's private for locals, so it's very peaceful. The rooms, showers, and shared areas were spotless, with plenty of toiletries and dish soap. There's a washing machine, and a shuttle is available, about 10 minutes from the airport. The hosts also prepare meals on site using local products, with the host herself doing the cooking. I have nothing to complain about, only thanks for everything. The value for money is more than reasonable, and I'll definitely be back.
