Such a shame to meet someone so unfriendly in a beautiful natural spot. The owner warned us not to leave a regular car there overnight after he saw us packing backpacks with small kids. He seems to think he controls the public car park where the walk to the tour de seneque starts, though it’s a massive lot and he may not legally control that part of it. Locals park in front of the concrete building as you come up the hill.

We left with a delicious picnic, and the bedding was impeccable. Everything was so relaxing and comfortable, and the homemade food was lovely. Thank you!

The setting is unlike anywhere I’ve experienced, and it’s a perfect place to disconnect. The owners are incredibly kind, and their animals sometimes come over to greet you. The welcome was truly exceptional. The only downside came from some hikers, not the owners or the location. A few ignore the 15 km/h sign at the property entrance and make a lot of noise with their SUVs and motorcycles. They’d be better off parking farther down the road, which would make their hikes more enriching too. And if you’ve been hiking for a long time but forgot to bring enough water, that still doesn’t excuse coming onto someone’s property without permission 🙃.

Visited in early June 2023 to see the Tower and take a day hike. In the Seneca Tower car park, the owner greeted us and questioned what we planned to do, insisting we leave from the Tower parking lot. After our four-hour hike, he confronted us again, saying we’d stayed too long and criticizing us as if he were law enforcement. He threatened us with who-knows-what, with an argument that was oddly elaborate. A shame to run into people like this in such beautiful surroundings. Avoid at all costs.
