The garden was lovely, peaceful, and charming, and I enjoyed a glass of Alsace white wine there. I didn’t eat at the restaurant. If I do tomorrow, I’ll update this review.

The room, the staff, the plates, the atmosphere, everything made us feel comfortable enough that we didn’t want to leave. The owner and waitresses were great, and the food felt like culinary art, with wonderful taste, smell, and presentation. It’s homemade and made to order, no doubt. We went from os a moelle (grilled bone) to jarret de porc (pork knuckle, schweinaxe), with gravlax salmon and Bouchee a la reine along the way, one adventure after another. Everything was perfect. A meal here feels like a Madeleine de Proust, and they make you want to come back.

We found this place on Google because the reviews looked good, but we didn’t get a chance to eat. It closes at 2 p.m.? Really, why?
