The park across the road is lovely, and the town centre is only about a five-minute walk away. The room was clean and pleasant, though the furniture is on the older side. I’ve added a few pictures of the town.

The hotel was very nice, but I ended up with the biggest splinter I’ve ever had in my foot from walking around my room in socks. The old wooden flooring really is a hazard.

There was no air conditioning in the room, and on the second morning there was no water at breakfast. One of the juices had run out too, so for the price, this place wasn’t worth it. My online booking said €187 for two days with breakfast included, but reception asked me to pay €212.

We made use of the takeaway service from La Pomme on the evening we arrived, since it was pouring and we didn’t want to walk into town to find somewhere to eat. The meal was excellent quality and good value. The hotel itself was good quality too, with a large, quiet room, a park view and a useful kitchenette. Breakfast was an excellent buffet.

Our corner room looked out over the lovely park and Thermal Baths, and we’d be happy to come back. During our three-week stay, everyone was quick to take care of whatever we needed, always with a smile. Corinne Duvall, the GM, along with front office staff Charlene, Anais, Laurence and Charlotte, and housekeepers Cristelle and Virginie, were all excellent. Luxeuil-les-Bains is a charming village, the location is perfect, and the hotel is very well maintained. We had a fabulous stay.
