The people were really friendly, though they spoke only French. There’s a great cafe nearby, and I recommend trying the pork steak. I miss those days during the pandemic...

On the phone, they spoke in a rushed way and pushed us to arrive at 8 pm rather than 7:30 pm. Once we got there, we were squeezed between two family tables with noisy kids. The restaurant dog was already occupying a table, and we had to move it ourselves. They brought the dessert menu before the main course, which had been forgotten. Then we were charged €60 for two €25 set menus and two €4 aperitifs! 🤔

The views are magnificent, and the location is ideal in the heart of the Pyrenees. We had an incredible stay in this magical place. The inn was lovely, with comfortable, nicely decorated rooms, welcoming and attentive staff, and good quality food sourced locally. We also got excellent tips on places to visit and hikes to take. The evening meal was a real highlight, especially the garbure, and breakfast was generous and delicious. Patrick made us feel so welcome, with the warmth and straight-talking nature of a true mountain local. Our room was lovely and very comfortable, and the friendly atmosphere suited both hikers and couples on holiday. We had a great summer stay.
