Sans Souci Bed and Breakfast with Restaurant

We felt completely at home with you and Gabrielle. The room and terrace were lovely, and the pool and location made a great base for excursions. Breakfast was generous and dinner excellent. Thank you, James and Matthew, for your warmth and for looking after your guests so well. All the best!

We only stayed one night on the way to Chenonceau, and I immediately wished we could stay longer. James and Matthew made us feel welcome, and the dinner and breakfast Matthew prepared were delicious. We definitely left full! The Catherine de Medicis room was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully laid out, with what looked like a recent update. At night I could see the stars through the skylights. The bathroom had lovely-smelling mini L’Occitane products, and fresh daffodils were on the bedside tables, presumably from the garden. We also briefly met their two friendly golden dogs and a beautiful child. Such a magical stay, highly recommend.

We spent three nights here for a wedding vows renewal celebration. Matthew and James were attentive and exceptional throughout our stay. The place itself is quaint and beautifully restored.

The grounds are lovely, and the pool was a great feature when the weather got hot. Everything else made for a fantastic three-night stay too: warm hospitality, comfortable rooms, and meals that were almost too sumptuous. It was quiet, and I really couldn’t fault the experience. I’ll have to return when the sunflowers are in full bloom for an even better visit.
