The rooms were spotless and just right, and the bed was really comfortable. Staff were friendly and professional. It’s also well placed, with everything you need within walking distance. A gorgeous place to stay, definitely worth it!

The staff were kind and offered to move us, but changing rooms wouldn’t have fixed the problem. We couldn’t sleep because the AC didn’t work, and maintenance told us every unit in the hotel was out of order. With the train station right across the street, opening a window meant unbearable noise. Reviews from two weeks earlier mentioned the same fault, and it was still unfixed on April 30th. That points to poor management, not a temporary problem. I wouldn’t recommend staying until the AC is sorted.

We stayed from 20/1 to 21/1 and had a good experience. If the booking price is right, I’d recommend it for one or two people visiting Lyon on a short trip. The location is convenient: it’s close to the old Brotteau station and lots of restaurants. Korean restaurant OGAM is a 4-minute walk, French place le Splendid is 2 minutes away, and there’s also an Italian restaurant with reasonably priced, good food. Lyon Part Dieu train station is a 15-20 minute walk, with a big shopping mall nearby. Our room was clean and quiet, with a kettle, tea and coffee, and a mini fridge. There were some tea bags and two coffee sachets. No slippers, toothpaste, or toothbrushes, so bring your own. I’m not sure whether there’s a safe, as I forgot to check. The bathroom was clean and came with towels, soap, shampoo, body wash, and a hair dryer. Watch the shower switch: up turns on the overhead shower, down the hand shower, or you might get cold water on your head. Breakfast included baguette and small rolls, bananas, cereal, and hot food. The potatoes were a little overcooked, the eggs had a bit too much cream, and the tomato sauce beans were OK. The ham was fine, but the meat or sausage tasted horrible, so I wouldn’t recommend it. Coffee and tea were available, but you had to ask the waiter for hot water or milk. Check-in was kind and pleasant, though it would help if they reminded guests of breakfast hours. Check-out was efficient.

I was in Lyon for a conference and had room to hang my shirts and suits in the spacious wardrobe. The iron worked perfectly, too. The room was comfortable and nicely furnished, with everything I needed, and the staff were warm and helpful.
